Applications are now open for two new ECRs to join our Advisory Board!
Closing date: Midnight, Sunday 20th July 2025
We believe that having ECR representation is an invaluable resource for the SPRITE+ Advisory board. One ECR will represent social aspects of digital trust, identity, privacy and security (TIPS) and the other ECR will represent technical aspects of TIPS (although we acknowledge that a single ECR may represent both aspects).
About the role:
This role is suited to somebody who has:
A passion for championing opportunities for ECRs
An awareness of issues/needs affecting different groups of ECRs
A commitment to working with the SPRITE+ Management Team on ECR initiatives
Networking skills
As an ECR member, you will offer insight and guidance on these issues from an ECR perspective. You will also contribute to the wider discussion of the Network and of Trust, Identity, Privacy and Security.
Benefits of joining the Advisory Board include:
Help to shape the direction of SPRITE+
Expand your professional network nationally and internationally
Gain practical experience
Champion ECR development within SPRITE+
Testimonials from our current Advisory Board members:
"Being part of the SPRITE+ ECR Advisory Board gave me a chance to see how institutions like this work from the inside—what kinds of challenges they face and how decisions are made to address them. I always felt that my opinion was taken seriously, and it was rewarding to see ideas I contributed lead to real action.
I also had the chance to connect with more senior board members and learn from their experience. I could choose which activities to get more involved in, such as initiatives supporting other ECRs. Overall, being on the board motivated me to take a more active role in SPRITE+ and helped me benefit from the network and its resources."
Michał Król
"Taking part in advisory board activities is a great opportunity to learn how research activities are organised and governed. You’ll get to meet lots of interesting people and have a chance to contribute towards important decisions."
