The SPRITE+ Community of Interest on Trust, Identity, Privacy, Security, and Safety (TIPSS) in eXtended Reality (XR) is open to all SPRITE+ members and Expert Fellows who are working on (or interested in) the trust, identity, privacy, safety, and security issues associated with extended reality technologies (virtual, mixed and augmented reality)

Previous projects
First RespondXR: Digital vulnerability of immersive training for first responders (2021/2022)
This SPRITE+-funded sandpit project explored the socio-technical challenges posed by the adoption of XR technology by law enforcement and other first responders, making recommendations for further research on the safe, secure, and ethical use of immersive training technology in these contexts.
TRIM: Trust, Rights and Identity in the Metaverse (2023/2024)
SPRITE+ funded this sandpit project, which explored how current laws could be used to protect users from harms and human rights infringements in immersive spaces, using a combination of experimental methods, analysis of speculative fiction, and analysis of laws and legal theory.
