With up to £52,000 in funding available per project, each Project Partner Challenge is an opportunity for an organisation to commission research on a topic of need in the areas of digital trust, identity, privacy and security (TIPS).
What we are looking for:
Selected projects will:
1. focus on a TIPS challenge for the organisation.
2. require significant research
3. have potential value/impact for the organisation
4. have the potential to produce output – either papers or artefacts.
An existing relationship with a researcher is not required. If your expression of interest is accepted, then it will be used to create a call for tender to go out to SPRITE+ expert fellows.
The Application process
A. Expression of interest
Please complete our expression of interest form.
B. Meeting to discuss expression of interest
Applicants will be invited to a meeting with the SPRITE+ Director. The goal is to learn more about the nature of the intended project and scope of the activities. This may also lead to suggestions about development of the idea.
C. Develop project outline
Applicants will develop their project outline of no more than 250 words to be converted into a tender proposal.
D. Decision on the outline
You will be sent feedback on the blurb and, if successful, a provisional statement of intent to fund subject to the identification of an appropriate expert fellow at stage E.
E. Project goes out to tender
The outline will be converted into a call for tender which will be sent to SPRITE expert fellows who will be invited to submit bids for the project. These will be reviewed by the engaged organisation and the SPRITE+ management team. The successful fellow will then be sent an award letter and contractual arrangements will be put in place. The project will then be ready to start.
