TIPSS in Digital Cities and Connected Places
What is happening?
SPRITE+ and Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) have launched an exciting project to identify, study and help deal with the TIPSS (trust, identity, privacy, security and safety) challenges that will arise in an innovative, responsible, inclusive, digital city region. We will explore these by leveraging the combined convening power of the SPRITE+ network and GMCA.
What are we trying to achieve?
To define a set of standards and/or a charter for trustworthy connected places for an enlightened digital city region. We aim to inform local, regional, and national policymaking and provide a platform to engage internationally with similarly ambitious cities and city regions.
Would you like to influence standards for trustworthy connected places?
The project will be collaborative and inclusive, ensuring engagement with a broad spectrum of stakeholders. Activities will include a rapid evidence review, workshops, consultations with communities and industry, the development of white papers, and a showcase event. There are several ways to get involved:
Join focused stakeholder workshops and have your say in the future of connected places. Focused stakeholder engagement workshops (tentative dates):
