Human Security Risk Thumbprint
01 April - 30 June 2025
Principal Investigator: Dr Lena Podoletz, Lancaster University
Supporting Partner: Social Machines
Project overview
The project ‘Human Security Risk Thumbprint’ focussed on improving cyber security through culture. It involved work related to a cyber security culture assessment tool developed by Social Machines which is designed to measure, understand and improve cyber security culture.
The project involved two distinct pieces of research related to the development of the tool. Firstly, it assessed different ways to measure cyber security culture alternative to surveys, specifically looking at organisational practices and behaviour, and employee behaviour. Secondly, the project also involved updating the catalogue of interventions and their evidence-base.
